Manaslu
Manaslu, the “Mountain of the Spirit,” is the eighth-highest peak in the world at 8,163 m. The Manaslu Circuit offers everything a trekker seeks: isolated valleys, crossing rarely visited villages, and encounters with Tibetan populations deeply rooted in their Buddhist culture and traditions. Although less frequented than the Annapurna Circuit, this trek is equally beautiful, offering a wide variety of landscapes and spectacular mountain panoramas. The gradual acclimatization for crossing the Larkya La Pass (5,100 m), the highest point of this trek, is well suited for trekkers. The panorama of the Manaslu massif from the Pungyen Gompa monastery is splendid. The Tsum Valley, “Beyul,” is a hidden and sacred valley located near the Tibetan border within Manaslu National Park, with several villages and their gompas, making it a valley rich in Buddhist culture and traditions.
