Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu – Ramechhap – Lukla (2,800m) – Phakding (2,640m)
Early morning departure by private minibus or jeep to Ramechhap. Flight from Ramechhap to Lukla (subject to weather and operational conditions). Upon arrival in Lukla, we meet the porters and prepare our bags for the trek. Begin the trek to Phakding, approximately 3 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 2: Phakding – Namche Bazar (3,440m)
We cross the river several times via suspension bridges, then the trail climbs steeply to reach Namche Bazar, the capital of the Sherpa region. Approximately 6 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 3: Namche Bazar (3,440m)
Acclimatization day with a hike to the villages of Khunde (3,840m) and Khumjung (3,780m). Approximately 5 hours of walking. Enjoy beautiful views of Thamserku (6,608m) and Kantega (6,685m). Overnight in a lodge at Namche Bazar.
Day 4: Namche Bazar – Tengboche (3,867m)
We ascend to Kenjoma, where we are rewarded with beautiful views of Ama Dablam (6,856m), Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The trail then descends towards Phungi Thanga, followed by a steep climb through a stunning forest to reach the Tengboche Monastery, the religious heart of the Sherpa people. Along the way, enjoy magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse. Approximately 6 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 5: Tengboche – Pheriche (4,240m)
We descend through rhododendron forests to reach Deboche, then cross the Imja Khola River. Afterward, we climb to Pangboche, where we enjoy beautiful views of Ama Dablam and Kantega. The final part of the day involves a steady ascent through the meadows leading to Pheriche. Approximately 5 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 6: Pheriche – Lobuche (4,930m)
The trail follows the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier towards Lobuche. We will walk for about 4 hours, enjoying stunning views of Pumori (7,145m). The landscape becomes more rugged and dramatic as we approach higher altitudes. Approximately 4 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 7: Lobuche – Kala Patar (5,545m) – Gorak Shep (5,160m)
Following the lateral moraine of the glacier, we ascend to Gorak Shep, then continue up to the summit of Kala Patar. From the top, we enjoy a spectacular view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori. After taking in the views, we descend back to Gorak Shep. Approximately 6 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 8: Gorak Shep – Everest Base Camp (5,350m) – Lobuche
We begin by ascending to Everest Base Camp (5,350m), then descend back to Gorak Shep and continue our way down to Lobuche. The trek offers beautiful views of Pumori, Nuptse, and Everest along the way. Approximately 7 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 9: Lobuche – Pangboche (3,985m)
We descend to Dingboche and continue down to the village of Pangboche, located at the foot of Ama Dablam (6,856m). The village offers a stunning view of this iconic peak. Approximately 5.5 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 10: Pangboche – Kenjoma (3,600m)
We descend to cross the Imja Khola, then climb through rhododendron forests to Tengboche, the religious heart of the Sherpas. After visiting the Tengboche Monastery, we begin a long descent to Phunki Tenga, followed by a steady ascent to Kenjoma. Along the way, we are treated to beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Approximately 6 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 11: Kenjoma – Lukla
Descent through the Dudh Kosi Valley to Lukla. 6 hours of walking. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 12: Lukla – Ramechhap – Kathmandu
Flight Lukla–Ramechhap (flight subject to weather and operational conditions). Arrival in Ramechhap, transfer to Kathmandu by minibus or private jeep.
