Tibet

The Tibet Autonomous Region, a vast plateau with an average altitude of around 4000 meters, is bordered by the highest mountains in the world. It stretches 2000 km from west to east and 1000 km from north to south. The largest rivers in Asia originate in the far west of Tibet, near the sacred mountain, Mount Kailash, where Buddhist pilgrims gather every year for the grand Sakadawa festival (May/June). Land of snow and sacred lakes, a magical and mystical realm, Tibet has always been a source of dreams. Its vibrant and warm population, with their constant good cheer, has won the hearts of all travelers who have encountered them.
